NCSY acknowledges that the call to serve goes beyond the courageous soldiers of the IDF; it echoes within each of us. In response to the current situation in Israel affecting Jews worldwide, including at home, NCSY is committed to answering this call with unwavering dedication. Our mission is to provide unwavering support, resources, guidance, and assistance whenever it's needed. 

We've initiated impactful programs to strengthen our community, with a specific emphasis on our youth who are grappling with significant challenges during this crucial period. Our programming is a reflection of our commitment to addressing these needs head-on. Together, we stand strong and united! 

Outreach Programs 

JSU 

NCSY school culture clubs that brings Jewish programming to teens in their home schools.  We are working with schools, directors, advisors and students to launch new clubs, crucial Jewish programming, lead urgent pro-Israel events and strengthen Jewish connections. We are also increasing security measures and mental health support for our JSU students and staff.      

Shabbatons

Weekend retreats that unite our teenagers for a meaningful Shabbat experience have evolved to encompass a rich blend of activities. Recently, our Shabbatons have expanded to incorporate sessions on the Israel/Palestine conflict and Jewish/Israel advocacy. Now, more than ever, these weekends serve as powerful unifiers, bringing Jewish teens together during particularly challenging times.

Education Programs 

Torah High (offered only in Ottawa) 

After-school program offering accredited high school courses in both Jewish and general studies, with additional curriculum focused on the Israel/Palestine conflict, Holocaust education and Jewish / Israel advocacy. 

Learn and Earn 

Learning Program that brings teens together in small groups to learn a topic of their own choosing 

Family/JFX programs 

The  NCSY Jewish Family Experience (JFX) offers NCSY and Torah High parents a fresh look at Judaism in a way that offers education, inspiration and a strong connection to the Jewish community.

Summer 

TJJ 

4-week transformative tour of Israel/ Teens learn about their Jewish heritage and culture by interfacing with the history, people, and Land of Israel.

5-week trip to Poland and Israel challenging teens to confront Jewish history in Poland followed by a trip to Israel. 

Next Step 

5-week trip to Israel where teens intern at Israeli companies and not for profits, all while exploring the land of Israel.

A scholarship program for teens to attend a summer program in Israel: Programs include Give, Give West, Michelelet, 4G Euro, LEAD, Camp Sports, and Kollel
