This is Yachad!
We are grateful to the Orthodox Union and our other generous partners for providing the matching funds for our campaign.
ALL GIFTS ARE DOUBLED!!!
What is Yachad? It is so much to so many.
For 40 years, Yachad has been creating a world where every single Jew – regardless of ability – has a place in the community. Through daily inclusion programs, community shabbatons, integration in summer camps, teen volunteering, and sensitivity training in schools, Yachad is teaching the Jewish Community how to give everyone a place. This is Yachad!
With our 6 divisions comprising of 10 regions around the United States, Canada & Israel, our network of 4 IVDU schools, summer department incorporating 25 inclusion camps, JUF’s day-hab, job training & placement, REACH’s nationwide resource and referral service & Our Way for the deaf community, This is Yachad!
In Los Angeles, we run social and recreational programming in the Pico-Robertson area 4-6 times a week for adults with disabilities. We offer weekly events such as fitness, art, music, and collaborative events with local organizations, etc. This year, we started a new initiative that takes place once a week specifically for more independent members where we travel to different locations throughout the city as well as experience new and exciting activities. The most important part of this program is that we work on a different life skill each week! This has really been a hit! We have also expanded our chapter immensely. We are now West Coast Yachad and are running weekly events in the Valley along with the city!
We expect to keep growing and sharing these life-changing experiences and events with others in need all over the West Coast! But, as always, your help is needed. We have so much more we want to accomplish and provide for the community.
We are counting on your help on #GivingDay2022! Every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
Thank you for partnering with Yachad LA. Your support allows us to offer important services and opportunities within our community today and in the future.
