This is Yachad!
We are grateful to the Orthodox Union and our other generous partners for providing the matching funds for our campaign.
What is Yachad? It is so much to so many.
For 40 years, Yachad has been creating a world where every single Jew – regardless of ability – has a place in the community. Through daily inclusion programs, community shabbatons, integration in summer camps, teen volunteering, and sensitivity training in schools, Yachad is teaching the Jewish Community how to give everyone a place. This is Yachad!
With our 6 divisions comprising of 10 regions around the United States, Canada & Israel, our network of 4 IVDU schools, Summer department incorporating 25 inclusion camps, JUF’s day-hab, job training & placement, REACH’s nationwide resource and referral service & Our Way for the deaf community, This is Yachad!
Locally, we run programs Monday through Thursday, some Saturday nights & Sundays. We’re quite proud of all of the innovative programming we provide to people throughout the Chicagoland area. Last year, with the generous grant from the Ralla Klepak Foundation for Education in the Performing Arts, we were able to provide a state of the art Performing Arts Program for individuals with & without disabilities which culminated in an outstanding performance of Disney’s Newsies. We started our first farming program in Northbrook in partnership with Z Frank Apachi & harvested pounds of vegetables throughout the summer, providing vegetables for many Yachad members families. We have much more on the docket for 2022-23. We have grown from Yachad members living in the Skokie, West Rogers Park area to further suburbs and have expanded our staff to ensure there is social recreational programming available for all.
But, as always, your help is needed. We have so much more we want to accomplish and provide for the community.
We are counting on your help on #GivingDay2022! Every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
Thank you for partnering with Yachad. Your support allows us to offer important services and opportunities within our community today and in the future.
