In 1983, Yachad began, aiming to fill a void in the Jewish world. A space was desperately needed for those with disabilities to be able to experience Jewish life and community to their fullest. Looking back, 36 years later, we’ve achieved that, and so much more. From vocational training and job placements, to schools, to our ever-expanding summer programs and Shabbatonim, we’ve changed countless lives, families, and communities for the better.

Our work however is never done. We want to do more, reach more people, expand to more locations, offer more programming and services. And we can’t do it without you.

Because of your friendship and support, this past year alone we helped 23% more individuals become employed, opened a new branch on Long Island, and offered hands-on job training to 22 participants through Yachad Gifts. But there is more work to be done. Partner with JUF and help us empower individuals with disabilities with the skills they need to get and keep a job in the community.
