Since its establishment in 2013, Teach Coalition (formerly the Teach Advocacy Network) has successfully advocated for security funding dollars in nonpublic schools:

Teach NYS saw a massive increase in security funding for nonpublic schools, from $4.5 million In 2013 to a record-breaking $40 million in 2017. Teach NYS successfully fought for a $25 million grant by Governor Andrew Cuomo as part of the Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes Grant.
Teach NJ helped lead the fight for a bill that would DOUBLE security funding this year to $22.6 million.
Teach FL championed first state state security funding in 2017, which has delivered $2.65 million for Jewish nonpublic schools-to-date. Expanded funding is on the agenda for next year to ensure that our children are protected.
Teach PA crafted the historic amendments for a first in the nation program to reimburse nonpublic schools for the costs of School Police Officers and has spearheaded the efforts to maintain this program in the face of proposed elimination. 7 Jewish day schools have had their costs covered so far!
