Hi everyone,

This year marks 15 years since the passing of my brother, Aharon Simcha Halley. He was in 12th grade, very involved with NCSY, and on the cusp of graduating high school and heading to his year in Israel. Unfortunately, that did not happen. As many of you know, he passed away that year in March, just months before he would have boarded that plane for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of spending a year learning in Israel. There were few things he cared more about than his Judaism and making all Jews aware and more connected to their Judaism. This scholarship fund is set up to help teenagers, just like Aharon, go to Israel for a gap year and be able to learn and grow in their Judaism. In the zechus of Aharon, and what he cared so deeply for, please donate whatever you can so that we can reach our goal of raising $15,000 which will be matched for a total of $30,000 for his 15th yarhzeit and help send teens to Israel and give Aharon’s neshamah a very special aliyah.
